Se suspendieron las competencias en Tayikistán
La Federación de Fútbol de Tayikistán decidió suspender este domingo los campeonatos que se estaban disputando desde el pasado 4 de abril, tras las medidas de seguridad adoptadas por el gobierno local ante la pandemia del coronavirus.
El del país centroasiático era uno de los pocos casos en el mundo donde se desarrollaban las actividades futbolísticas, junto con Bielorrusia, Nicaragua, Taiwán y Turkmenistán, consignó en un despacho de la agencia italiana de noticias Ansa.
El comienzo del torneo local, que se inició el pasado 4 de abril, respondió a que las autoridades gubernamentales adujeron que no se registraban víctimas de la pandemia.
Pero la situación cambió en las últimas horas y forzó a las autoridades de la exrepública soviética a adoptar nuevas medidas, algo que incluye también la suspensión de toda actividad deportiva en ese país.
Vale recordar que el seleccionado sub-17 de Tayikistán fue rival de Argentina en la fase de grupos (los otros dos componentes eran España y Camerún) del último mundial de la categoría que se disputó en Brasil, el año pasado, cuando los dirigidos por Pablo Aimar vencieron por 3-1 en el último juego de la zona E y con ello se clasificaron a octavos de final.
