“Queremos potenciar el servicio de salud del Hospital Iturraspe”
La nueva directora del nosocomio, Elisa Belén Carrizo, analizó los desafíos de la gestión que hoy emprende. Destacó la política sanitaria de Llaryora de fortalecer la atención en el interior y descomprimir los hospitales centrales.
La doctora Elisa Belén Carrizo, ex intendenta de la localidad de Tránsito, fue designada este jueves por el Ministerio de Salud de Córdoba como la nueva directora del Hospital Regional “J. B. Iturraspe” de San Francisco, sucediendo al doctor Valentín Vicente que llevaba en el cargo desde 2016.
Como vicedirectora del nosocomio provincial continuará la doctora Verónica Pepino.
Carrizo tiene 50 años, tres hijos y estuvo al frente de la municipalidad de Tránsito por dos períodos, de 2015 a 2023. Es médica anestesióloga egresada de la carrera de Medicina de la Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (UNC) en 1997 y en el año 2000, como anestesista.
Carrizo fue puesta en funciones por el ministro de Salud Ricardo Pieckenstainer y tras el acto que tuvo lugar en Córdoba, dialogó con LA VOZ DE SAN JUSTO sobre sus primeras sensaciones ante el nuevo desafío.
“Nunca imaginé que estaría en San Francisco pero sí integrando el equipo provincial de Salud de Martín Llaryora, algo que es un orgullo para mí –dijo Carrizo-. Este es un gran Ministerio de Salud. El ministro Pieckenstainer quiere que tengamos una mirada bien federal, que la gente del interior cordobés sea bien atendida y la prioridad sean los pacientes, los ciudadanos. Nos planteó lineamientos a seguir en ese sentido para los próximos cuatro años”.
“Desde San Francisco acompañaremos la política de salud de este gobierno tratando de resolver todos los problemas y optimizando los servicios”, agregó.
Además de su carrera política, Carrizo se desempeñó en su profesión de médica en la parte pública como anestesióloga en Villa Santa Rosa (de Río Primero), pero nunca antes en el Hospital Iturraspe. Afirmó que el trabajo territorial realizado durante la campaña electoral 2023 acompañando como candidata suplente al candidato a legislador departamental Gustavo Tevez (Hacemos Unidos por Córdoba) le permitieron “recorrer y conocer a fondo el depártemelo San Justo y empaparnos de todas las situaciones vinculadas a la salud”.

“El objetivo es potenciar el servicio de salud del Hospital Iturraspe para tratar de descomprimir los grandes hospitales de Córdoba. Es grande el desafío”, añadió Carrizo.
Además, no ahorró elogios hacia sus antecesores en el hospital sanfrancisqueño. “La gestión de Valentón Vicente y Verónica Pepino durante estos años y sobre todo, durante la pandemia de Covid 19, porque nunca dejaron nada al azar, siempre se contuvo y se dieron soluciones. Son muy buenas personas y profesionales”.
“Es una gran fortaleza haber sido intendenta. Los médicos tenemos muchas capacidades científicas pero la política me permitió adquirir herramientas vinculadas a la gestión y me enseñó a ver la necesidad del otro, su problemática. La persona que entra a un hospital lo hace porque tiene un problema”, siguió.
Y adelantó: “Vamos a trabajar de una forma responsable, honesta, tranquila; vamos a capacitar al personal del Hospital Iturraspe para que sienta lo mismo que yo sentí cuando fui intendenta de Tránsito: que primero está la necesidad del otro”.
