Liga de Campeones: Triunfo del City
El Mánchester City, sin la presencia de Sergio Agüero, alcanzó el pleno de victorias en la primera vuelta de la Liga de Campeones al ganarle ayer por 2 a 1 al Nápoles, en una tercera jornada en la que el Tottenham de Mauricio Pochettino fue capaz de empatar 1-1 en su visita al vigente bicampeón Real Madrid.

En el norte de Inglaterra Raheem Sterling (9) y el brasileño Gabriel Jesus (13) marcaron los goles ingleses, mientras que Amadou Diawara hizo de penal (73) el tanto visitante. El Nápoles dispuso de otra pena máxima, pero la falló el belga Dries Mertens (38).
Tras su triunfo el City, líder sólido de la Premier League con siete triunfos y un empate, encarrila su pase a octavos, al frente del grupo F.
"Ha sido un partido increíble entre dos equipos que comparten la misma idea, con una presión muy alta", destacó el técnico Citizen Pep Guardiola.
"Si no hubiésemos jugado tan bien esta noche no hubiésemos ganado a este equipo. Estamos cerca (de la clasificación), pero necesitamos aún una victoria", añadió el técnico español, cuyo equipo suma su décimo triunfo consecutivo en todas las competiciones.
Con su derrota el Nápoles, impecable al mando de la Serie A con ocho victorias en ocho partidos, queda en una complicada posición, con tres puntos en tres partidos. Además su próximo duelo será la vuelta ante el City en San Paolo.
En el otro partido de la llave el Shakthar Donetsk -con el argentino "Chucky" Ferreyra como titular- ganó 2-1 al Feyenoord, prácticamente desahuciado sin haber sumado puntos. El equipo ucraniano, que jugó con 10 el último cuarto de hora, cuenta seis.
Por otro lado, el equipo inglés se adelantó merced a un gol en propia puerta de Raphael Varane (29), antes de que Cristiano Ronaldo equilibrara al transformar un penal (43).
Sigue hoy
Chelsea, Barcelona, París SG y Mánchester United han sumado los seis puntos en las dos primeras jornadas de la Liga de Campeones y hoy tratarán de afianzarse como líderes de sus respectivos grupos.
Otros favoritos, como Atlético de Madrid, Bayern Múnich, Juventus y Benfica se jugarán buena parte de sus posibilidades de seguir optando al primer puesto de sus grupos o, en el peor de los casos, asegurar la segunda plaza, sinónimo de clasificación para octavos.
El Barcelona recibirá al Olimpiacos en el Camp Nou, en lo que será el primer encuentro con público tras el referéndum por la independencia celebrado en Cataluña el pasado 1 de octubre y que ha tensado mucho las relaciones entre el gobierno central y el regional.
