Kyoto, el primer súper saludable en el centro de la ciudad
En 25 de Mayo 2649 abrió sus puertas una nueva propuesta integral. Conocé Kyoto en esta nota.
Kyoto nació como una idea clara: un lugar que respete la esencia de una tienda saludable, pero con la envergadura de un supermercado donde también se puedan conseguir -además de alimentos- otros productos de uso diario que respeten la consigna.
Ubicado en 25 de Mayo 2649, este emprendimiento de los jóvenes sanfrancisqueños Guillermo Massola y Emilio Aimaretti ofrece desde alimentos saludables, hasta productos de limpieza, pasando por congelados, suplementos nutricionales, frutas y verduras y hasta vinos orgánicos. Cada uno de los productos ofrecidos tiene al menos un ítem que lo hace saludable o respetuoso del medioambiente.
“La idea del proyecto surgió de una inquietud que tenía Guille. Por una cuestión familiar, dejó su trabajo en la concesionaria y comenzó a investigar sobre un estilo de vida más saludable. Somos amigos desde hace mucho tiempo y me fue contando sobre su idea de hacer algo en ese ámbito. Como a mí también me interesaba el tema, empecé a investigar si podría funcionar un negocio así. Notamos que no había una propuesta en la ciudad que incluyera todos los estilos de vida: productos para diabéticos, celíacos, hipertensos. Aunque hay lugares que ofrecen productos saludables, no había nadie con la variedad y oferta de manera que uno pueda encontrar todo en un solo lugar. Decidimos diferenciarnos como un supermercado saludable. Tomamos ideas de otras ciudades y creamos algo con una identidad diferente. El proceso fue muy rápido: en enero vimos el local, nos gustó, y en dos meses lo abrimos”, contó Aimaretti.
Por su parte, Massola aseguró: “Tuvimos mucha suerte en encontrar esta ubicación y el local estaba en condiciones impecables. Solo tuvimos que darle nuestra identidad. Viví muchos años en Córdoba y Buenos Aires, y allí vi cómo crecían negocios de este tipo, impulsados por nuevas tendencias en el cuidado del ambiente y la salud. Con la pandemia, este mercado se potenció. Volví a San Francisco tras la muerte de mi papá, y durante ese tiempo, con Emi empezamos a planear este proyecto. Queríamos un lugar que ofreciera todo lo que tiene un supermercado, pero con productos saludables. Aquí podés encontrar desde frutas y verduras hasta productos de limpieza biodegradables y cosmética vegana”.
Ante la consulta de si notan que con la ley del etiquetado frontal los consumidores empezaron a prestarle más atención a los productos que antes consumían creyendo que eran saludables pero que luego descubrieron que tenían varios octógonos, Aimaretti expresó: “Aquí también hay productos con octógonos, por ejemplo para celíacos. No podemos decir que todos nuestros productos están libres de sellos, pero siempre buscamos opciones más saludables o que al menos se adapten a una dieta o estilo de vida puntual. La gente ahora es más consciente y exigente, no solo con la comida, sino también con los productos de limpieza y otros artículos. Buscan opciones que no contaminen y que generen menos desperdicio”.
Sobre la franja etaria que consideran más se inclina por un tipo de consumo más saludable y sostenible, cuentan que se trata “principalmente de jóvenes de 18 a 35 años. Sin embargo, esto se está extendiendo a otras edades debido a la creciente conciencia sobre la salud y el cambio climático. Antes no había tanta oferta de productos saludables, pero ahora incluso las grandes marcas de están adaptando. Este cambio en el consumo también se ve por ejemplo en los bares, donde cada vez más gente pide opciones veganas y saludables, incluso ya existen cervezas sin Tacc. Nuestro objetivo es ofrecer una propuesta integral, desde alimentación y limpieza hasta otros productos que iremos incorporando”.
Sobre el origen del nombre contaron: “Kyoto es una ciudad japonesa. Fue la primera ciudad verde de Japón y de las primeras en el mundo, y además anfitriona del Protocolo de Kyoto, uno de los antecedentes de los ODS y la Agenda 2023 de la ONU”, explicó Massola.
“Queremos consolidar este primer local y, en el futuro, poder abrir sucursales o franquicias. Aprovechamos para invitar a todos los vecinos de la ciudad y la zona a que vengan a conocernos y por supuesto a llevar una vida más sana”, afirmó al tiempo que aclaró también “somos dos emprendedores jóvenes de San Francisco, no somos una franquicia, estamos aquí todos los días y estamos abiertos a sugerencias y propuestas de nuestros clientes. Queremos aprender juntos y ofrecer lo que realmente necesitan”.
