Bono, líder de U2, le expresó a Mauricio Macri su preocupación por Santiago Maldonado

El presidente Mauricio Macri se reunió este mediodía en la Casa Rosada con el líder de la banda irlandesa U2, Paul David Hewson, más conocido como Bono.
Antes de ingresar por la explanada del histórico edificio, se acercó hasta las rejas de la Avenida Rivadavia para saludar a un grupo de fanáticos, quienes llevaron sus copias del vinilo "The Joshua Tree" para que el nacido en Dublin se los autografiara.
El cantante ingresó pasadas las 13, atravesó el Salón de los Bustos y con los dedos en "V" saludó a periodistas y empleados de la sede gubernamental.
Durante el encuentro, Bono diálogo con el jefe de Estado sobre la desaparición de Santiago Maldonado y le manifestó su preocupación por el caso.
"Hablamos de Santiago Maldonado y sentí que el Presidente está tomando el caso seriamente y como miembro de Amnesty Internacional eso me puso muy feliz", aseguró Bono más tarde, según indicó presidencia en un comunicado.
El irlandés, además de su conocida carrera musical con U2, tiene un destacado compromiso contra la pobreza en África, así como también reclama la cancelación de la deuda externa de países del Tercer Mundo.
La banda liderada por Bono brindará este martes y miércoles dos recitales en el Estadio Único de La Plata en el marco de "The Joshua Tree World Tour 2017", para celebrar los 30 años del emblemático álbum.
El vocalista del grupo es además activista en causas contra la pobreza en el tercer mundo, y aboga por la cancelación de las deudas de los países subdesarrollados, con los organismos internacionales de crédito. (Fuente: Infobae)
