San Francisco: con el frío se quintuplicó el consumo de gas
Las bajas temperaturas elevaron la demanda de energía y desde Emugas recordaron la importancia de un consumo responsable y concientizaron sobre la prevención de accidentes con monóxido de carbono.
Con la llegada del frío el consumo de gas natural en la ciudad aumentó una cinco veces respecto al resto del año. Para Emugas priorizar la seguridad es el eje de sus acciones, y por eso concientiza sobre la importancia del uso responsable del gas natural para cuidar el ambiente y también prevenir accidentes por monóxido de carbono.
El presidente de Emugas, Oscar Enrico afirmó en diálogo con LA VOZ SAN JUSTO que, aunque depende de cada hogar, "en términos generales, el consumo de gas aumenta en invierno aproximadamente cinco veces respecto al resto de las estaciones. En una casa estándar se consume por mes entre 80 y 100 cm3".
Advirtió que cualquier tipo de energía que se consuma irresponsablemente es objeto de crítica. "Nosotros pregonamos el uso de gas, no privarse, pero también recordamos el uso responsable de la energía que tiene que ver con el criterio ecoambiental que tenga cada usuario".
"Bregamos por un ecosistema saludable y por eso decimos que la gente en la medida que no esté en su casa trate de no dejar calefactores encendidos, artefactos en marcha si no es necesario. Es agradable llegar a un lugar calefaccionado pero hay que ser consciente de la dificultad que representa generar un metro cúbico de gas en la Argentina", aseguró.
Con respecto a los accidentes con monóxido de carbono, Enrico recordó que Emugas es órgano de control de Enargas por lo cual el control de las instalaciones previo a la colocación del medidor es clave. "No podemos instalar el gas si el edificio no se encuadra en las normativas del ente. En la inspección se verifican las pérdidas de cañerías y el grado de ventilación exigible en cada casa, de acuerdo a la cantidad de artefactos instalados".
En el caso de los artefactos aconsejó asesorarse a la hora de comprarlos, "buscando siempre la mejor calidad y una vez en uso realizarle el mantenimiento correspondiente cada tanto ya que es muy importante para que el encendido y combustión sean correctos".
Remarcó que también es importante que los vecinos "no agreguen artefactos sin informarlo a Emugas, se debe informar para que se controle esa nueva instalación. Si no lo hacen, ante un eventual siniestro estamos fuera de cualquier tipo de expectativa legal".
Finalmente informó que cada año se agregan entre 400 y 500 conexiones y "actualmente se analizan herramientas para ampliar el radio de cobertura en la cantidad de frentistas conectados, todavía hay algunos vecinos que aunque su barrio tiene la red de gas, no están conectados. La cuestión económica es decisiva y no hay muchas herramientas crediticias que puedan facilitar la conexión a los vecinos".
